The CBS news caster opens a dialog with her special guest concerning the belief that Native America’s were robbed of their culture by the Christian church. According to her, “there were schools all across this country (Canada) run by Christian churches, most of them by Roman Catholic churches, but they were also run by other churches. And the idea behind them, aside from providing education ,was to take the Indian out of the student.” She claimed that they provided education so that they could assimilate into Canadian culture better.
But, isn’t this the purpose of all education? The idea that somehow a group of people were harmed through Christian education seems very bias. However, accordingly the news casters at CBS were hot on the trail of a news story. It seems that the old saying is still true today, “If it bleeds, it leads.”
It seems that hundreds of bodies have been found buried near and around church grounds. These bodies point back to a time when the Canadian government was establishing Canada as a country. The majority of these bodies were found under the Catholic church, but Protestant Christian churches are being implicated as well.
The Roman Catholic church has had its share of scandels, but, this is besides the point. You see, it doesn’t matter what you feel about the Roman Catholic Church. The fact is that they are being burned down under the presumption of a crime that occurred more than 150 years ago.
According to the report, plots of unmarked graves were found in British Columbia under the Roman Catholic church that was burned to the ground. The report also revealed that the government forced indigenous children to attend Catholic school facilities in order to reeducate them. Reports reveal that researchers have identified at least 4100 children who died while attending these schools.
Reports also allege that many of these children were the remains of babies were fathered by priests. They were taken away from the girls who were their their mothers and in some cases even thrown into furnaces or buried alive. This article is in no way attempting to excuse these atrocities, however, if these things did happen, all of the perpetrators of these crimes are already in Hell; which leads me to believe that there is another agenda behind these church burnings. With our current climate of leftest ideologies on the horizon, such attacks on the church seem to offer the perfect veil for their unapologetic persecution against those who have faith in Jesus Christ. After all, Jesus stated that the church is the body of Christ. What do you think?
