📖 Bible Study Title:

“Another Gospel: Exposing the Pride and Division of the Hebrew-Israelite Movement”

🔑 Key Verse:

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.”
Galatians 1:6-7 (NIV)

🧭 Objective:

To biblically examine the Hebrew-Israelite movement, its false gospel, prideful posture, and un-Christlike behavior toward the Body of Christ. This study aims to compare their teachings with the true gospel preached by Jesus and the apostles.

🧱 Outline:

1. Pride: The Root of the Hebrew-Israelite Message

🔍 Observation:

The Hebrew-Israelite movement is rooted in ethnic pride, lineage obsession, and spiritual elitism. Instead of glorifying Christ, it promotes self-identification as “the true chosen people” above others.

📖 Scripture:

  • Proverbs 16:18“Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
  • Philippians 2:3“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.”
  • Romans 2:28-29“A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly… A person is a Jew who is one inwardly…”

💬 Discussion:

  • How does the Hebrew-Israelite message contradict the humility taught by Christ?
  • Why is pride such a dangerous spiritual foundation?

2. Their Behavior Toward the Church Is Un-Christlike

🔍 Observation:

Many Hebrew-Israelites harshly attack pastors, mock Christian churches, and condemn fellow believers, violating the spirit of unity and love commanded in the New Testament.

📖 Scripture:

  • John 13:35“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
  • Titus 3:2“Slander no one, be peaceable and considerate, and always be gentle toward everyone.”
  • 2 Timothy 2:24-25“The Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone…”

💬 Discussion:

  • What does true Christian correction look like?
  • How should believers respond when they see false teaching, without becoming combative?

3. Another Gospel, Not the Gospel of Grace

🔍 Observation:

Hebrew-Israelite theology often promotes law-keeping, genealogy, and identity-based salvation — completely opposed to Paul’s message of salvation by grace through faith.

📖 Scripture:

  • Galatians 1:6-9Paul warns about anyone preaching a “different gospel.”
  • Romans 3:28“We maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.”
  • Ephesians 2:8-9“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…”

💬 Discussion:

  • Why is it dangerous to add works, lineage, or identity to the gospel of grace?
  • What distinguishes the gospel of Christ from all other religious systems?

4. Christ Is the Focus — Not Race, Bloodline, or Tribe

🔍 Observation:

In Christ, all barriers are broken down. The gospel unites Jew and Gentile, slave and free, black and white.

📖 Scripture:

  • Galatians 3:28“There is neither Jew nor Gentile… for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
  • Colossians 3:11“Christ is all, and is in all.”
  • Romans 10:12-13“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him.”

💬 Discussion:

  • Why must the church resist any ideology that divides believers by ethnicity or heritage?
  • How does the true gospel create a new identity in Christ?

🛡️ How to Respond to the False Gospel

💡 Biblical Response:

  • Stand firm in grace (Galatians 5:1)
  • Avoid useless arguments (2 Timothy 2:23)
  • Correct with gentleness (2 Timothy 2:25)
  • Preach Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 1:23)

✝️ Conclusion:

The Hebrew-Israelite movement preaches another gospel—one of pride, heritage, and division. As believers, we must not be entangled in legalism or racial superiority. The gospel is for all people. We are one body, saved by one Savior, through one gospel of grace.

🙏 Closing Prayer:

Father, we thank You for the clarity of Your Word. Help us to discern truth from deception, and to walk humbly in the grace You have given. May we boldly defend the true gospel while showing the love and patience of Christ. Amen.
