Scripture Reading:
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” — Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
💭 Reflection:
When Jesus spoke of the mustard seed, He chose one of the tiniest seeds known in His time — yet it grows into a tree large enough for birds to rest in its branches. That image wasn’t meant to impress us with size, but with potential.
Jesus was teaching that it’s not the amount of faith that matters, but the authenticity of it. Even the smallest, most fragile faith, when rooted in a great God, has the power to move mountains.
We often think we need enormous faith to see God work in our lives — but God only asks for a beginning. A mustard seed’s worth of belief. A whisper of trust. A trembling prayer that says, “Lord, I believe — help my unbelief.”
Faith starts small — in a heart that dares to trust God’s Word over fear, circumstances, and doubt. And as we water that faith through prayer, worship, and obedience, it begins to grow, producing fruit and confidence in the Lord’s ability to do what seems impossible.
🙏 Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for reminding me that even the smallest seed of faith is powerful in Your hands. Teach me to trust You more today — not because I am strong, but because You are. Help me to speak to the mountains in my life with courage, knowing that You can move them. Let my little faith grow into great faith, for Your glory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
🌻 Today’s Challenge:
Speak life over your situation today.
Take one fear, one worry, or one obstacle — and declare God’s promises over it. Watch how even a mustard seed of faith can shift your perspective and invite God’s power into your day.
